Special Pay Program (Accession or Retention Bonus)

Provides a maximum of $25,000 in cash payments each year for 3 years to qualified Physicians and Dentists

Provide a maximum of $20,000 in cash payments each year for 3 years to qualified Physician Assistants

Provides a maximum of $15,000 in cash payments each year for 3 years to qualified Clinical Psychologists and Social Workers

Provide a maximum of $10,000 in cash payments each year for 3 years to qualified Registered Nurses (Baccalaureate prepared)

Provides a maximum of $5,000 in cash payments each year for 3 years to qualified Associate Degree nurses

Qualified professional may elect to receive the appropriate special pay each year. Current guidance allows a qualified professional to contract for up to three years at a time. At the end of each contract, if their specialty remains on the list of eligible professionals, they may enter into another contract to further extend this incentive.

Qualified professionals eligible even after receiving STRAP and HPLRP.

Participation DOES NOT incur an Active Duty obligation when finished.

Participation DOES NOT require you to remain in state where you initially signed for the program.

Participation requires normal attendance (39 days per year) with the Army National Guard for the year immediately following each payment.

Special Pay Program may be renewable!
